Dan Mohler
A father in the faith with a unique gift to unlock identity, truth, and intimacy with Jesus. Dan’s teachings have marked thousands, and his time with us will be unforgettable.
In 1995 Dan had a transforming encounter with God while at work. Since that time he has gone on to serve as an associate pastor for 8.5 years and now is traveling as an itinerant minister, sharing the transforming power of the gospel in a way that leaves others changed forever.
His passionate quest for intimacy with God, has given Dan a powerful revelation on who we truly are in Christ and what our mission is here on earth as believers. His inspirational messages on redemption penetrate the hearts of believers and motivate them to live righteous, compassionate lives. His passion is to see the love of God reverse the effects of sin and sickness in the world and train others to reproduce the works of Jesus in their every day lives.
Dan’s absolute confidence in Christ’s redemptive power and his ability to walk in humility allow him to minister God’s love in a way that crosses all denominational boundaries. He preaches and lives the pure gospel, and as scripture promises, healings, signs and wonders follow.

The Ascent is a regional men’s retreat crafted to bring men back to center — to truth, to purpose, to brotherhood. This year, we are honored to welcome Dan Mohler as our keynote speaker. His passionate, practical, and Spirit-filled teaching has changed lives around the world, and now he’s joining us to pour into the men of this region.

Camp Cyokamo exists to partner with area churches, creating space for students to encounter Jesus through gospel-centered teaching, outdoor experiences.

1. Who is The Ascent for?
The Ascent is open to men of all ages, backgrounds, and denominations who want to grow, connect, and strengthen their walk with God. You don’t need to be part of a specific church to attend.
2. Where is the retreat held?

3. What is included in my registration?
Your registration fee covers:

4. What kinds of activities will be available?
We offer a mix of fun and competitive activities, including:

All activities are optional — participate at your own comfort level.
5. Do I need to bring my own equipment for shooting activities?
Equipment and safety gear will be provided, but you may bring your own if desired. All firearms and ammunition must comply with our safety guidelines and will be inspected on site.
6. What should I bring?
We recommend:
- Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
- Closed-toe shoes
- Bible and journal
- Toiletries and personal items
- Extra layers for cooler evenings
- Optional: your own firearm for pistol or skeet (following event rules)
7. Will there be worship or teaching sessions?
Yes. This year’s retreat features powerful, identity-focused teaching from Dan Mohler, along with times of worship, prayer, and reflection.
8. Can I register a group?
Absolutely. Churches, small groups, and friend groups are welcome — just encourage each person to register individually.
9. Are scholarships or financial assistance available?
We want every man to have the opportunity to attend. Limited financial assistance may be available based on need. Please reach out for more information.
10. When should I arrive and when does the retreat end?
May 15, 2026 | 3:00 PM
We’ll provide a full schedule as the event approaches.
11. What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made by April 15, 2026 are eligible for a partial refund. After that time, registrations are non-refundable but may be transferred to another attendee.
12. Is this event safe for men who haven’t handled firearms before?
Absolutely. Experienced instructors and range officers will lead all shooting activities. Safety briefings and supervision are mandatory.
13. Can I come if I’m not physically active?
Yes. Activities are optional, and the retreat is designed for men of all fitness levels. Participate at your own pace.
